District Election - Wednesday, March 11th, 2025:


A position (elected) is currently up for re-election on the Board of Supervisors.


The Board of Supervisors election will take place on March 11th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 1251 2nd Avenue South, Okanogan, WA 98840. Candidates interested in the elected position must be registered voters who reside within the boundaries of the Conservation District boundaries. Candidate filing closes on February 7th at 3:00pm.

What is the Board of Supervisors?

The Board of Supervisors includes three elected members, and two members appointed by the Washington State Conservation Commission, all of which serve without compensation and volunteer their time to attend frequent meetings and set the policy and direction of the Okanogan Conservation District. How do I file as a candidate for an open position?

The filing deadline for candidates to file their candidate required information is February 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

Candidates interested in an elected position must be registered voters who reside within the boundaries of the Okanogan Conservation District. Supervisors who are currently serving, can also run for re-election. Candidates may be required to be landowners or operators of a farm, depending on the current composition of the district board of supervisors.


Interested candidates may obtain a form and must file their candidate information at 1251 2nd Avenue South, Rm. 102, Okanogan, WA 98840. Candidate required information will be accepted by in-person delivery, by mail postmarked no later than February 7, 2025, or by email to Okanogan CD Election Officer, Becky Drenner, becky@okanogancd.org. ---

What is the district boundary?

The district boundary encompasses all of unincorporated Okanogan County, and the following incorporated cities and towns: Okanogan, Conconully, Omak, Elmer City, Coulee Dam, Winthrop, and the Colville Reservation. If you live in the towns of Twisp, Oroville, Tonasket, Riverside, Brewster, and Pateros, you are not eligible to vote as those towns are not currently annexed into the district.


How and where can I vote?

To vote in district elections, you must be a registered voter living within district boundaries. A poll site will be held on March 11th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the district office which is located at 1251 2nd Ave. S., in Okanogan.

If you would like an absentee ballot, please contact OCD Election Officer, Becky Drenner, at becky@okanogancd.org or (509) 429-3418. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 3:00 PM, on February 18th, 2025. Absentee ballots must be post-marked no later than 6:00pm on election day, March 11th, 2025.

The Okanogan Conservation District election provides an opportunity for registered voters within its boundaries to participate in shaping local conservation efforts.
