The Okanogan Conservation District has hired two new staff members.
Chevelle Yeckel of Tonasket will serve the district as its new Riparian and Water Quality Planner to provide assistance to landowners and managers interested in voluntarily restoring stream banks to improved water quality and in-stream habitats.
Eli Loftis of Eatonville will serve the district as its new Wildfire Community Resiliency Lead/Planner to provide wildfire risk assessment plans for property owners and managers, plus oversee projects that improve air quality.
